Arthur Joseph Goldberg (1908 - 1990)

He served as Secretary of Labor under President John Kennedy from 1961 to 1962, when Kennedy appointed him to the Supreme Court of the United States. He left the court in 1965 to become ambassador to the United Nations, where he served until his resignation in 1968.
